Waivers

Our waivers make no sense. Is it a random waiver order or is there some logic I'm not getting?
Reply
Random? Shouldn't be. Looking through it right now.
Explain it to me then. Because people who have made zero waiver claims have a lower waiver spot than people who have made moves. Also this has nothing to do with the finish of the teams. Basically, if you can tell me why I have the 7th after losing and only making one move (not a waiver claim) I'd be satisfied with any logical answer. Seems completely random order to me. Thanks Punkin'

Pretty sure it's the standard "last to draft, first on waivers" system that Yahoo normally uses.  I was second to last in the draft, and have the #2 waiver priority.
I was 4th to draft yet 7th on the waivers. Shouldn't I be 8th?
I can see that.

It's set to a "rolling" waiver list where each time you add a player via waiver wire, NOT a free agency pickup, you go to the back of the list, independent of standings. I was mistaken when I read that initially setting this up - Yahoo's "help" did a horsebleep job explaining it. I also can't change the overall setting since the season has started, though I can edit everyone's individual waiver position. I'll know better when setting up next year.

The last waiver pickup was Kev, who is 12th. The list base was reverse draft order.

Waiver position doesn't change due to a free agency pickup, only with a waiver claim, as free agents are immediate add/drops and doesn't depend on waiver.

Yay, I win.
See, shows how much I know about anything. Basically, what I said is what Ronk said, only in four times as many characters and with more legalese.
