Shalabajzeri fall short of expectations, lose to Desert Eagles in 108-77 romp

There's no way around it, Shalabajzeri dropped the ball, at least compared to projections, as Desert Eagles cruised to a 108-77 victory. There wasn't much drama in the matchup, as Desert Eagles earned a 35-point lead on Thursday behind Patrick Mahomes, who passed for 410 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 32 yards. Matthew Stafford (244 Pass Yds, 2 Pass TDs) and Aaron Jones (58 Rush Yds, 12 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD) led the way for Shalabajzeri in defeat. This marks the second time this season Desert Eagles have knocked off Shalabajzeri, after falling 90-62 in their last matchup. Desert Eagles will look to clinch the championship next week, while Shalabajzeri seek to rebound and finish the season with a win in the 3rd Place game.

Coach Talk

Desert Eagles
Identifying mismatches is a huge component to winning in football. We really took that to heart this week by doubling up Shalabajzeri at the wide receiver position (34 points to 16).
Shalabajzeri
Well, we can't really whine about a shortage of opportunities this time, can we? Our pass-catching corps (three WR, one TE) collectively got a healthy 29 targets in Week 15. With only 16 total catches, that group may have some chemistry issues.
