When the draft countdown clock hit zero, the GM of Woodymiao put their game face on. Firing on all cylinders from the ninth spot in the draft, they put together a team that's projected to finish first in TDL 2014 C League with a record of 10-3-0 (1,243 points). They stocked up on pass-catching weapons early on, using three of their first five selections to pick up WRs A.J. Green (second round), Andre Johnson (fourth round), and Mike Wallace (fifth round). These players will be heavily relied upon by Woodymiao, as they are one of the best groups of WRs in the league.

Woodymiao can write off Week 4 as a scheduling injustice and use that time to consider other injustices: for example, why doesn't Chewbacca get a medal during the ceremony at the end of Star Wars? Wookie bias? They have four players and the most projected fantasy points on bye that week. Based on their opponents' projected points, they have the least challenging schedule. Woodymiao has the opportunity to come out firing, as the first four games of their season are projected to be less difficult than the league average.

Draft Notes

  • AARP Card's in the Mail

With an average of 7.4 years of NFL experience, Woodymiao is the team most likely to have a player qualify for a senior citizen discount.

  • It's How You Finish

Woodymiao made every other squad look silly after some amazing halftime adjustments, accumulating the most projected points in the league over the second half of the draft.

  • Fantasy FĂștbol

This is the American version, folks. Woodymiao elected to go with two kickers, rather than adding depth at other positions.

Player Analysis

    • Marshawn Lynch, RB
    • Round 1, Pick 9
Feel the Rhythm, Feel the Rhyme

Get on up, it's Marshawn Lynch time! He should run cool this season with 205 projected points.

    • A.J. Green, WR
    • Round 2, Pick 16
182 More Reasons to Appreciate A.J. Green

Green ranks sixth in the TDL 2014 C League among WRs with 182 projected fantasy points.

    • Andre Johnson, WR
    • Round 4, Pick 40
    The Power of Persuasion

Now would be a reasonable time for Woodymiao to encourage the TDL 2014 C League to raise the value of receptions. They snagged Andre Johnson and his 87 projected catches (ranked eighth in the NFL).

    • Mike Wallace, WR
    • Round 5, Pick 57
    Stolen In Broad Daylight

Mike Wallace was the best value pick of the round and could be the cause of many sleepless nights for the other managers.

    • M. Stafford, QB
    • Round 6, Pick 64
Do You Know if Matthew Stafford is Religious?

With 310 projected points, Woodymiao is hoping Stafford will be the answer to their prayers.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
