This could be a dream season for 温州榕树, who landed the top overall pick and then drafted a team capable of winning the whole damn thing. With a roster that has very few weaknesses, they are projected to finish in first place in TDL Advanced 2015 B League with a mark of 10-3-0 (1,514 points). They focused on having a balanced offensive attack, selecting QB Ben Roethlisberger (48th overall), RB Marshawn Lynch (1st), WR Alshon Jeffery (25th), and TE Travis Kelce (49th) within the first five rounds. They put together the best RB tandem in the league, as they have Lynch and LeSean McCoy on the roster.

Week 7 is not looking like a fun one for fantasy football. 温州榕树 should look into the joys of scrapbooking, or bird-watching, or just anything that isn't fantasy football. It might not be pretty. They have three players and the most projected fantasy points on bye that week. Looking at the entire season, they have the softest schedule. Corresponding with the easiest overall schedule, 温州榕树 also has the league's easiest first four games and softest last four games of the season.

Draft Notes

  • Asset Allocation

RB is the strongest position for 温州榕树, though TE and K aren't too shabby either.

  • Risk Averse

温州榕树 minimized risk by choosing nine consistent players among their 15 picks.

  • Defense Wins Championships?

温州榕树 chose to go with two DEFs instead of loading up at other spots.

  • Digging Deep

Kenny Britt is owned in only 1% of all Yahoo! leagues, but will surely reward 温州榕树 for their faith! Or not.

Player Analysis

    • Marshawn Lynch, RB
    • Round 1, Pick 1
Marshawn Lynch Doesn't Read the Playbook

The playbook reads him. 温州榕树 should be in decent shape if Lynch gets his 314 projected touches this year.

    • LeSean McCoy, RB
    • Round 2, Pick 24
    Old Fashioned

温州榕树 stuck to the tried-and-true fantasy strategy of going RB-RB to start the draft, taking Marshawn Lynch and LeSean McCoy before targeting other positions.

    • Alshon Jeffery, WR
    • Round 3, Pick 25
    Better Lucky Than Good?

The rest of TDL Advanced 2015 B League overlooked a gem, and 温州榕树 made the highest value pick of the round by taking Alshon Jeffery.

    • B. Roethlisberger, QB
    • Round 4, Pick 48
    Rare Company for Roethlisberger

Big Ben joined Aaron Rodgers as the only QBs to eclipse 4,000 yards and average at least 8.0 yards per attempt last season. He was also one of just four signal-callers to throw for 30+ TDs and have fewer than 10 interceptions on the year.

    • Travis Kelce, TE
    • Round 5, Pick 49
A Tight End with Some Wheels

With a projection of 791 yards through the air, Travis Kelce ranks third in the NFL among TEs in receiving yards.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
