Brilliant!. Absolutely brilliant! Karala's put on a free draft clinic for the rest of the league, turning the final pick of the first round into a projected first place finish in Vince Lombardi Keeper League. They're projected record of 12-0-1 (1,591) may be untouchable and Karala's should expect this to be a season long victory lap.
Karala's used all four of their keeper slots. Their top-ranked retained players from an ADP perspective were: Le'Veon Bell (5.8 ADP), Odell Beckham Jr. (9.9 ADP), and Emmanuel Sanders (36.9 ADP). On average, their four keepers are dramatically more valuable (by 30.8%) than the draft picks that they replaced.
While Week 11 has the most players on bye for Karala's (four), Week 8 is actually projected to have the team's highest number of idle fantasy points. Based on their opponents' projected points, they have the least difficult slate. Along with the easiest overall schedule, both the first four games and last four games of the season are pretty average for Karala's.
Draft Notes
-
Assessing the Assets
RB is the strongest position for Karala's, though DEF and QB are also better than the league's average.
-
The First Step is Admitting You Have a Problem
It appears that Karala's enjoys gambling, as they took chances on seven "high-risk" picks.
-
Nearly There
The top half of the Karala's roster is one of the strongest in the league (ranked No. 1). However, the bottom of the roster is among the weakest (ranked No. 12).
-
Team of Champions
Karala's is rocking a team of fantasy MVPs. Last season, four of their players were among the top-20 players that were on the most first-place fantasy teams, including Le'Veon Bell, Emmanuel Sanders, and Odell Beckham Jr.
-
A Low Floor, but a High Ceiling?
Karala's grabbed a sleeper in Cody Latimer with pick No. 210.
-
Beginning with a Bang
Karala's got off to a sizzling start, amassing the most projected points in the league during the first half of the draft.
Player Analysis
-
- Aaron Rodgers, QB
- Round 1, Pick 14
Amazing AaronThough he attempted 32.5 passes per game (just 22nd in the league), Rodgers threw for the seventh-most yards (4,381) and third-most TDs (38) last season. A whopping 33 QBs tossed more interceptions than Rodgers' five.
-
- LeSean McCoy, RB
- Round 2, Pick 15
No RB by Committee HereLook up "workhorse back" in the dictionary and there is a picture of LeSean McCoy. Karala's should be in good shape if he reaches his league-leading 337 projected touches this year.
-
- Le'Veon Bell, RB
- Round 3, Pick 42
Better Lucky Than Good? The rest of Vince Lombardi Keeper League overlooked a gem, and Karala's made the smartest value pick of the round by taking Le'Veon Bell.
-
- E. Sanders, WR
- Round 4, Pick 43
Denver DynamiteA bargain at his ADP last season, Sanders was one of just four WRs to notch 100 receptions in 2014. The secret is out, but Karala's obviously knows this WR2 is as good a bet as any to post WR1-esque numbers.
-
- Carlos Hyde, RB
- Round 5, Pick 70
Imitation is the Sincerest Form of FlatteryCarlos Hyde will be trying to imitate Bo Jackson in Tecmo Bowl this season. He's expected to wind up ninth in the league with 8.4 rushing TDs.
Best Available
While Karala's is expected to be weak across three positions, WR is definitely their weakest unit and an area of need.

How We Grade
Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
