All that time spent doing fantasy football research instead of actual work wasn't a waste of time after all, as Fred is projected to finish in first place in TDL 2016 B League with a record of 11-2-0 (1,590 points). If they have a bad season, it won't be due to a lack of wide receivers, as they used three of their first five selections to pick up WRs Antonio Brown (first round), Mike Evans (third round), and Donte Moncrief (fifth round). A lot will be expected of this group, as they are the best group of WRs in the league.

Fred should use Week 10 to finally build that mini trainyard. Really just about anything other than checking fantasy football will do. They have four players and the most projected fantasy points on bye that week. Looking at the entire season, they have the softest schedule. Along with having the easiest overall schedule, Fred also has the second-softest last four games of the season.

Draft Notes

  • A Team of Destiny?

The fantasy hopes of Fred rest heavily on the fortunes of the Colts, as they have four of them on their roster.

  • Big D

Fred elected to go with two DEFs instead of loading up at other spots.

  • A Dominating Pair

Fred has a pair of fantasy MVPs in their lineup. Last season, two of their players (Antonio Brown and Mark Ingram) finished among the top-20 players that were on the most first-place fantasy teams.

  • Beginning with a Bang

Fred got off to a sizzling start, amassing the most projected points in the league during the first half of the draft.

  • A Low Floor, but a High Ceiling?

Fred grabbed a sleeper in Bruce Ellington with pick No. 168.

  • The Bargain Whisperer

Fred was hunting for steals throughout the draft, snapping up a trio of bargains in the first 9 rounds (Stephen Gostkowski, Delanie Walker, and Andrew Luck).

Player Analysis

    • Antonio Brown, WR
    • Round 1, Pick 1
    Ambitious Antonio

Fred fully endorses the wideout's quest for 150 receptions in 2016. Shoot for the moon, Mr. Brown. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars.

    • Mark Ingram, RB
    • Round 2, Pick 24
He's a Touchy, Feely Kind of Guy

With 282 touches, Mark Ingram is projected to rank 10th in the NFL in that category. How touching, Fred.

    • Mike Evans, WR
    • Round 3, Pick 25
171 More Reasons to Appreciate Mike Evans

Evans ranks 10th in the TDL 2016 B League among WRs with 171 projected fantasy points.

    • Andrew Luck, QB
    • Round 4, Pick 48
    Fred's Stud Signal-Caller

Andrew Luck is projected to rack up 317 points this year, enough to rank fourth among all QBs.

    • Donte Moncrief, WR
    • Round 5, Pick 49
    Rethinking That One

Donte Moncrief may not justify his 49th overall draft pick if projections hold true. Currently, he is estimated to fall outside the NFL's top-20 in both yards (25th with 1,007) and TDs (23rd with 7.2).

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
