Player Notes

  • Picks up steal in loss
Raley went 0-for-3 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 2-0 loss to the Orioles.

Advice: Raley didn't log a steal in all of June, though he hit .263 with an .857 OPS for the month as one of the Mariners' more consistent batters. He's up to six thefts on seven attempts this year, offering modest speed. Raley has added nine home runs, 23 RBI, 30 runs scored, eight doubles, two triples and a .257/.304/.443 slash line across 73 contests. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:58 pm

  • Rhys Hoskins leads Brewers past Rockies on Tuesday
Rhys Hoskins drew a go-ahead bases-loaded walk with two outs in the ninth inning on Tuesday night, leading the Brewers to a 4-3 victory over the Rockies.

Advice: Hoskins entered the game as a pinch-hitter for Jake Bauers in the eighth inning where he went down on strikes. He atoned for that failure in the ninth inning though, working a walk off of Justin Lawrence to drive in the go-ahead run. On the season, the 31-year-old slugger is hitting .224/.318/.404 with 11 homers, 38 RBI and a pair of stolen bases. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:14 pm
  • Homers in loss
Burger went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday' 8-3 loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Burger hit a solo home run in the fifth inning and added a single in the ninth. The 28-year-old hit .213 in both May and June but does have two multi-hit efforts and two home runs in his past five games. On the season, he is hitting .221 with eight home runs, 28 RBI and 25 runs scored through 259 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:41 pm
  • Continues strong play
Bellinger went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Bellinger has started to get going after a relatively slow start to the season. He was batting .226 through the end of April but turned that around by hitting .290 in May and .279 in June. Bellinger is now off to a solid start in July, and after a nice bounce-back effort in his first season with the Cubs last year following a disappointing 2022 campaign, the 28-year-old appears primed for a strong finish to 2024. • Sitting Tuesday
Biggio isn't in the Dodgers' lineup Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Biggio continues to split time at third base with Chris Taylor until Max Muncy (oblique) returns. Biggio has struggled with Los Angeles, batting .188 with a 33.3 percent strikeout rate in 12 games since being acquired from the Blue Jays. Taylor has the start at third Tuesday and is batting eighth. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 3:20 pm

  • Athletics designate Aledmys Díaz for assignment
Athletics designated INF Aledmys Díaz for assignment.

Advice: Díaz has been jettisoned from Oakland’s roster to make room for younger players to come up and get an opportunity moving forward. The 33-year-old veteran infielder signed a two-year, $14.5 million deal prior to last year and finishes his tenure in Oakland with a disastrous .585 OPS with four homers and one steal in 374 plate appearances over 121 games. • Vlad Jr. returns to lineup Tuesday vs. Astros
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (finger) is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s showdown against the Astros.

Advice: Guerrero is back at first base and batting third after being scratched from Monday’s series opener due to right finger discomfort after being hit by a pitch over the weekend. The 25-year-old fantasy stalwart has been sizzling-hot at the dish over the last few weeks, batting .365 (23-for-63) with six homers and 20 RBI over his last 15 games. Rotoworld Tuesday, 1:47 pm
  • Out of Houston lineup
Dubon is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Toronto.

Advice: Dubon has been an everyday player over the last few weeks while seeing action at multiple positions, but he will begin this one on the bench. Yordan Alvarez and Joey Loperfido will occupy the corner outfield spots and Jon Singleton will handle first base. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:10 pm

  • Nolan Jones collects two hits in Rockies’ win
Nolan Jones went 2-for-4 with an RBI double and a walk versus the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: The second hit also would have been at least a double, but it hit first base umpire Brian O’Nora on its way down the first base line, resulting in a single. Jones has had issues with strikeouts since coming off the IL last month, but he’s hitting the ball harder than he did in April and drawing a bunch of walks (12 in 15 games). He should prove pretty useful in mixed leagues the rest of the way. Rotoworld Monday, 9:19 pm
