  • Settles for no-decision Wednesday
Blanco allowed two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four batters over 5.2 innings in a no-decision against Toronto on Wednesday.

Advice: Blanco fared fine after giving up six runs (three earned) in his previous outing, though fantasy managers in leagues that count quality starts will no doubt be disappointed that he was pulled one out shy. That hook may have also cost the right-hander a victory, as he had a one-run lead when he was relieved by Tayler Scott, who promptly gave up a single to allow the tying run to cross the plate. While Blanco has posted a modest 8.2 K/9 on the campaign, his overall numbers are strong -- he's recorded a 2.53 ERA and 1.01 WHIP across 96 frames. Rotowire.com Today, 12:35 am
  • Fans eight in loss
Rodon allowed three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings in a loss to Cincinnati on Wednesday.

Advice: Though he logged his fourth straight defeat, this was a bounce-back effort of sorts for Rodon after he surrendered 21 runs (20 earned) over 13.2 innings across his previous three starts. The veteran hurler did, however, continue to struggle with the long ball Wednesday, yielding multiple homers for the third straight outing. Rodon has given up seven home runs during that three-game stretch, and his 18 homers allowed on the campaign is tied for third most in the majors. Rotowire.com Today, 12:23 am
  • Picks up eighth victory
Abbott (8-6) earned the win over the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing one run on three hits and four walks while striking out two batters over 6.1 innings.

Advice: Abbott wasn't overpowering -- he induced just six swinging strikes and notched only two punchouts -- but he got the job done with his sixth quality start of the campaign. The southpaw allowed only one extra-base hit (a double) and didn't yield a run while he was in the game, as the only score charged to his ledger came after he departed with one out in the seventh inning. Through 17 starts, Abbott is up to eight wins, which is as many as he logged across 21 outings as a rookie last year. He's improved upon his ratios with a 3.28 ERA and 1.20 WHIP, though his 6.9 K/9 is a dramatic drop-off from his 9.9 K/9 last year. Rotowire.com Today, 12:00 am
  • Unimpressive in return to majors
Scott surrendered four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two batters over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus Washington on Wednesday.

Advice: Scott was called up from Triple-A on Wednesday to log his first big-league start since May 30, but he didn't make much of an impression. The rookie right-hander tied a season-worst mark by allowing four runs, and he struck out a season-low two batters. It was an especially disappointing outcome for Scott after he retired 12 of the first 14 batters he faced -- six of the eight baserunners he allowed came over his final 1.2 frames, and he departed after giving up a three-run homer to Luis Garcia with two outs in the sixth. Despite the overall poor result, there's a good chance Scott will get at least another turn through the rotation with New York not having an off day until the All-Star break and with Tylor Megill recently demoted to the minors. • Yields five runs in no-decision
Parker allowed five runs on five hits and no walks while striking out five batters in a no-decision against the Mets on Wednesday.

Advice: Parker allowed only five batters to get on base, but all of those reached on an extra-base hit, and three hitters went deep against the rookie. It was just the second time through 15 starts that Parker has allowed multiple homers in an outing and the first time he's given up three long balls. The southpaw's five earned runs were a season-high mark, but he still owns a respectable 3.61 ERA through 84.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:27 pm
  • Struggles in no-decision
Mazur allowed four runs on seven hits and struck out four without walking a batter over four innings, taking a no-decision versus the Rangers on Wednesday.

Advice: While it's a positive that he issued zero walks, Mazur still had too much traffic on the basepaths to deal with. He threw just 46 of 74 pitches for strikes. This was the fourth time in six outings that he's failed to complete five innings. Mazur has a 7.52 ERA, 1.82 WHIP and 15:17 K:BB through 26.1 innings as he continues to struggle during his first stint in the majors. With two off days next week, the Padres could get by with a four-man rotation up to the All-Star break, so it's no guarantee Mazur will stay on the 26-man roster this month. • No-decision versus Padres
Gray allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out two over four-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Padres on Wednesday.

Advice: Gray gave up a two-run home run to Manny Machado in the third inning and labored again early in the fifth. This was the fourth time in Gray's last six appearances that he failed to complete five innings, though two of those short outings were by design following his return from a groin injury. The right-hander is now at a 3.92 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 71:22 K:BB over 80.1 innings across 17 appearances (15 starts) this year. Gray is lined up to make his next start in a favorable road matchup versus the Angels. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:46 pm
  • Earns first MLB win
Montero (1-2) allowed two runs on six hits across 6.1 innings to earn the win Wednesday against the Twins. He walked one and struck out four.

Advice: The Tigers put up nine runs of support, which was more than enough to help Montero earn his first MLB win. The rookie had allowed nine runs across 8.2 innings in his first two starts in the majors, but he looked much more comfortable in his third appearance. He's expected to stick in the rotation for at least a few turns with Casey Mize (hamstring) on the injured list. Montero's next start is tentatively scheduled for July 11 as Detroit juggles its rotation before the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:51 pm
  • Strikes out eight in quality start
Imanaga allowed three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out eight over six innings in a no-decision versus the Phillies.

Advice: Imanaga held his own versus a tough opponent, though he allowed home runs to Rafael Marchan and Alec Bohm. This was Imanaga's fourth quality start in his last five outings, the exception being a 10-run anomaly facing the Mets on June 21. The southpaw is now at a 3.16 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 92:15 K:BB through 91 innings over 16 starts this season. He's projected for another challenging opponent next week when he's lined up to for a road start in Baltimore. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:45 pm
