  • Jonah Bride called up by Marlins
Marlins recalled INF Jonah Bride from Triple-A Jacksonville.

Advice: With Otto Lopez heading to the IL, Jonah Bride will come up and take his spot on the roster. Vidal Brujan should continue to start at second base, which means Bride will just be a bench bat while he’s up with the big club. Rotoworld Today, 8:52 am
  • Otto Lopez lands on IL with back injury
Marlins placed INF Otto Lopez on the 10-day IL with lower back inflammation.

Advice: Lopez has been starting regularly at second base before sitting out the last three games with his back injury. Vidal Brujan has been playing second in Lopez’s absence and should continue to see every day at bats while Lopez is out. Rotoworld Today, 8:51 am

  • José Tena sent back to the minors
Guardians optioned INF José Tena to Triple-A Columbus.

Advice: The 23-year-old had just four plate appearances in three games with the Guardians this season, and he will head to the minors with Angel Martinez coming up. Tena will return to an impressive .293/.341/.480 slash line with 14 home runs and 10 steals in 73 games this season. Rotoworld Today, 8:42 am
  • Angel Martínez back up with Guardians
Guardians recalled INF Angel Martínez from Triple-A Columbus

Advice: Martínez went 2-for-7 in his first taste of MLB action earlier this season and was hitting .316/.416/.537 at Triple-A with five home runs and two steals in 26 games. The 22-year-old is one of the Guardians’ top-hitting prospects, so there is a chance he could find himself with a decent amount of playing time in this stint with the big club. However, he is a contact-first player who has never hit over 14 home runs or stolen more than 11 bases in any season, so his fantasy ceiling might not be that high. Rotoworld Today, 8:38 am
  • Taking seat Thursday
Varsho is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Varsho started the past four games but will receive Thursday off after going 2-for-14 with a double and eight strikeouts during that stretch. Kevin Kiermaier will start in center field against Houston lefty Framber Valdez. Rotowire.com Today, 8:36 am
  • Getting regular at-bats of late
Rivera will start at third base and bat eighth in Thursday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: It's the fourth consecutive start for Rivera, with the last three of them coming versus right-handers. He has seemingly moved ahead of Nick Gordon in terms of playing time, as the Marlins have been deploying Bryan De La Cruz in left field, Josh Bell at designated hitter and Jake Burger at first base while Rivera occupies the hot corner. • Belts homer in loss
Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Orioles on Wednesday.

Advice: The Mariners' offense remained mired in a funk Wednesday, but Raleigh prevented a shutout defeat with a sixth-inning, 423-foot shot to center for the final run of the night for either team. The slugging backstop has now left the yard in three of his last eight games, putting him halfway to the career-best total of 30 homers he established last season. Rotowire.com Today, 8:28 am
  • Continues to lose playing time
Gordon is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Red Sox.

Advice: It's the fourth straight game on the bench for Gordon and the third consecutive time it's come against a right-hander. The 28-year-old looks to have lost his grip on a regular role versus righties, with Emmanuel Rivera being the primary beneficiary. Rotowire.com Today, 8:27 am
  • Sitting out Thursday
Malloy is not in the lineup for Thursday's game in Minnesota.

Advice: He's being given a day off after starting each of the previous four contests. Riley Greene will get a start in the designated hitter slot for the Tigers. Rotowire.com Today, 8:22 am
