  • Out again versus lefty
Gorman is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: It's the second straight day that Gorman will be on the bench as the opposition sends a left-hander -- in this case, Patrick Corbin -- to the hill. Brendan Donovan will play second base for the Cardinals. Rotowire.com Friday, 12:31 pm
  • Racks up three hits Thursday
Solano went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run and an RBI against the Rangers in Thursday's 3-1 victory.

Advice: Solano opened the scoring in the contest with an RBI double in the fourth inning. He finished with his second three-hit performance of the campaign, and he's collected multiple knocks in five of his past nine games. Solano is slashing a robust .382/.417/.471 with five RBI and six runs over that stretch. Rotowire.com Friday, 11:33 am
  • Luis Rengifo lands on IL with wrist inflammation
Angels placed 2B Luis Rengifo on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to July 4, with right wrist inflammation.

Advice: While recent X-rays on Rengifo’s wrist came back negative, the second baseman was still dealing with soreness in his right wrist, and now finds himself on the injured list. This is a tough loss for fantasy managers as Rengifo was hitting .315 with 22 stolen bases this season. The timetable for his return is unclear. Rotoworld Friday, 11:10 am

  • Drawing start at third base
Mastrobuoni will start at third base and bat eighth in Friday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Christopher Morel is getting a second straight day in the designated hitter spot, so Mastrobuoni will be tasked with handling the hot corner. It's his first start since he was recalled from Triple-A Iowa back on June 18. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:56 am

  • Three hits in Thursday's loss
Horwitz went 3-for-4 with two RBI in Thursday's loss to the Astros.

Advice: Batting fifth as a late addition to the lineup when Bo Bichette (forearm) was scratched, Horwitz banged out all three of his singles against same-handed pitchers, getting knocks off southpaw Framber Valdez in the first and fourth innings before leading off the ninth with a hit off Josh Hader. Horwitz has been impressive at the plate since his promotion, slashing .314/.435/.486 through 85 plate appearances with three doubles, three homers, nine RBI and 11 runs. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:58 am
  • Gavin Lux goes 0-for-4 against Diamondbacks
Gavin Lux finished 0-for-4 in the loss to the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

Advice: The Dodgers’ patience still hasn’t paid off with Lux, who is hitting just .214/.267/.291 through 251 plate appearances. His Statcast numbers aren’t as bad as the line suggests, but they’re also not as good as they were in the two years before he missed all of last season with a torn ACL. On the plus side, his defense, which seemed poised to be a major problem early on, has actually been above average after the move back to second. It makes sense for the Dodgers to try to do better, but at the same time, the more confident they feel in Miguel Rojas, the less they have the need to make a move, since they could always plug in Mookie Betts at second after he returns in August. • Stays red hot
Sosa went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an RBI single during Thursday's 8-4 loss to Cleveland.

Advice: Sosa logged multiple hits for a fifth straight outing, saving the streak with a solo homer in the ninth inning off Nick Sandlin. The 24-year-old Sosa had gone yard only twice in his first 38 games, but he has matched that number during the hit streak. Sosa is slashing .252/.287/.392 over 151 plate appearances this season. • Homers among three hits
India went 3-for-5 with a home run and two additional runs in Thursday's 8-4 win against the Yankees.

Advice: India hit one of three homers for Cincinnati, swatting a solo shot in the third inning. He finished with his ninth multi-hit game over his past 12 contests, a stretch during which he's batting a blistering .467 (21-for-45) with Thursday's homer, six RBI, 13 runs and two stolen bases. The hot span has pushed India's season batting average from .241 to .278. Rotowire.com Thursday, 9:10 pm
  • Pops solo shot
Westburg went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 7-3 loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Westburg has hit safely in 11 of his last 13 games, going 16-for-54 (.296) with three homers and seven RBI in that span. The infielder is up to 14 homers this season while adding 49 RBI, 42 runs scored, six stolen bases and a .280/.329/.508 slash line across 80 contests. He continues to split time between second base and third base, but he's firmly in the middle of the Orioles' lineup on a near-everyday basis, and he has the production to match that role.
