Player Notes

  • Comes close to double-double
Adebayo contributed 20 points (8-18 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-6 FT), nine rebounds and three assists in 38 minutes during Saturday's 104-84 loss to the Celtics in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Advice: The Heat were never able to compete with the Celtics in this Game 3 loss, but Adebayo was Miami's most productive player, finishing just one rebound shy of a double-double and leading the team in scoring. It's not surprising to see him operate as one of the Heat's go-to players on offense since Jimmy Butler (knee) is out and not expected back before the end of this series. Adebayo should be in line for another heavy workload in Game 4 on Monday. Rotowire.com 1 minute ago
  • Jamal Murray finishes Game 4 loss with 22 points
Jamal Murray logged 39 minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Lakers, producing 22 points (9-of-23 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), six rebounds, five assists, and one blocked shot.

Advice: While Murray has scored 20 points or more in all four games, the Lakers have done what they can to make him an inefficient scorer. He’s shot below 40% from the field in all four games and racked up four turnovers in Games 3 and 4. Denver won the first three games of the series despite Murray’s struggles, but the Lakers’ inability to maintain leads was also a factor. Los Angeles was only a minus-2 in third-quarter points on Saturday, which, along with Murray’s struggles, factored into the outcome. He’ll look to turn things around in Game 5 on Monday night. • Michael Porter Jr. tallies 27 points, 11 rebounds
Michael Porter Jr. finished Saturday’s Game 4 loss to the Lakers with 27 points (10-of-20 FGs, 3-of-5 FTs), 11 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and four 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

Advice: Porter has been one of Denver’s most consistent players in this series, accounting for at least 19 points and eight rebounds in all four games. Saturday’s double-double was his second in as many games, but the 3-point shooting did slip while in Los Angeles. After shooting 9-of-17 in the series’ first two games, Porter was 6-of-17 from beyond the arc in Games 3 and 4. Don’t be surprised if he benefits from the return home for Game 5 on Monday night. Denver still holds a commanding 3-1 lead, and teams that opened a series 3-0 are 151-0 in NBA postseason history. Rotoworld 35 minutes ago
  • Stuffs stat line Saturday
Porzingis logged 18 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 27 minutes during Saturday's 104-84 victory over the Heat in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Advice: Porzingis was active on both ends of the court, and even though he cooled down after a strong start in which he scored Boston's first eight points, he still finished with a solid output despite playing just 27 minutes. The limit in playing time was probably related to the nature of the game since it was a blowout from the second quarter onwards, meaning Porzingis shouldn't have problems handling his regular workload in Game 4 on Monday. Porzingis has scored 18 points in two of his three appearances in the series. Rotowire.com 37 minutes ago
  • Posts double-double in Game 3 win
Tatum logged 22 points (6-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 8-12 FT), 11 rebounds, six assists and one block in 39 minutes during Saturday's 104-84 victory over Miami in Game 3 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Advice: Tatum co-led the Celtics in scoring Saturday with Jaylen Brown, but Tatum also made his presence felt in other categories, particularly in the rebounding column, another category in which he led the team. Tatum's eight makes from the charity stripe salvaged what could've been a subpar scoring performance for the star forward, and he'll aim to bounce back from a poor shooting display in Game 4 on Monday.
