Player Notes

  • Jrue Holiday enjoys scoring ‘binge’ with 18 points
Jrue Holiday finished with 18 points (7-of-10 FG), eight rebounds, five assists, a block and three triples across 38 minutes in Saturday’s win over Cleveland.

Advice: Holiday averaged 12.5 points per game in the regular season (fewest since his rookie campaign), and he scored in single figures in four of seven in the playoffs leading up to Saturday’s Game 3 victory. The 18 points are his most through eight games in this season’s playoffs, and though he hasn’t been much of a factor on offense, he’s been getting it done consistently as a defender and facilitator. The two-way stud will look to keep it up Monday as the Celtics face the Cavs in Game 4. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:15 pm
  • Donovan Mitchell scores 33, but Cavs drop Game 3
Donovan Mitchell finished Saturday’s loss to Boston with 33 points, six rebounds, three assists, two steals and seven triples across 43 minutes.

Advice: Mitchell was Cleveland’s go-to option, and he led the team in scoring once again. Spida was an efficient 12-of-22 from the floor, including a blistering 7-of-12 from beyond the arc. It was an outstanding individual effort, but the rest of the team did next to nothing to help the superstar out. Isaac Okoro, Darius Garland and Max Strus combined for just 23 points on 9-of-30 shooting. Mitchell averaged nearly 29 points per game in his first-round series with Orlando, and he’s averaged 31.7 points through his first three games of the Eastern Conference semis. There’s no doubt Mitchell will show up to play for Monday’s Game 4, but his teammates will need to get going if the Cavs hope to even up the series with Boston. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:58 pm
  • Delivers double-double in loss
Gilgeous-Alexander supplied 31 points (10-23 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 9-10 FT), 10 rebounds, six assists, five blocks and one steal across 42 minutes during Saturday's 105-101 loss to Dallas in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Advice: Gilgeous-Alexander continued his run of stellar production in the Game 3 loss. The All-Star averaged a stunning 28.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.2 assists over six playoff games heading into Saturday's contest, making him one of the league's most prolific postseason contributors. His most noticeable stat of the evening was a career-high five blocked shots. Prior to Saturday, the guard had recorded four swats three times in his pro career. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:18 pm
  • Plays through injuries in win
Doncic totaled 22 points (7-17 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-10 FT), 15 rebounds, five assists and two steals across 40 minutes during Saturday's 105-101 victory over the Thunder in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Advice: Doncic sealed the Game 3 win by winning a jump ball in the closing seconds and grabbing the loose ball before the buzzer. While Doncic's inspired play was a clear difference-maker in the victory, he left the court favoring his left ankle. His injury struggles were noticeable throughout the game, as his ankle and lingering knee issue limited his speed in transition. Still, Doncic played through the pain and delivered his best rebound total of the postseason. Although Doncic may find himself on the injury report for Monday evening's rematch, he'll carry a full load if his body can take the beating. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:58 pm
  • Bounces back with 22 points
Irving notched 22 points (10-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt), five rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal over 41 minutes during Saturday's 105-101 win over the Thunder in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Advice: After a season-low nine points in Game 2, Irving came back with a diverse stat line, helping the Mavericks go up in the series. Irving complemented teammate Luka Doncic with a series of key plays in the closing minutes, draining all four of his shots in the final stanza. Irving led the team with seven assists, which marked the fourth time the All-Star exceeded his season average in that category during the playoffs. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:45 pm
