  • Karl-Anthony Towns hits four 3-pointers, scores 14
    Karl-Anthony Towns accumulated 14 points (4-of-7 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, three assists, and four 3-pointers in 33 minutes in Friday’s Game 3 loss to the Nuggets.

    Advice: The good news for Towns is that he shot 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. The bad is that he attempted seven shots overall, which is inexcusable for an offensive talent of his caliber. Friday’s game was the first in which KAT failed to reach double figures since Game 2 of Minnesota’s first-round sweep of the Suns. While the Timberwolves could get away with that against Phoenix, the reigning champs are different. Towns needs to be more aggressive in Game 4 on Sunday night, with the Timberwolves still holding a 2-1 series lead. Rotoworld Today, 9:43 pm
  • Rudy Gobert scores six points in return Friday
    Rudy Gobert shot 3-of-5 from the field and 0-of-2 from the foul line in Minnesota’s Game 3 loss to the Nuggets, finishing with six points, four rebounds, and one assist in 27 minutes.

    Advice: After missing Game 2 to be present for the birth of his first child, Gobert was back in the lineup for Game 3. He and the Timberwolves attempted to land a decisive blow early in Friday’s game but failed, and the reigning champions eventually pulled away. Neither Gobert nor Naz Reid (7/1/1/1 with one 3-pointer in 21 minutes) could do much with Nikola Jokic, who finished with a plus-30 rating.   • Nears triple-double in Game 3 win
    Jokic notched 24 points (10-18 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, nine assists, three blocks and three steals over 38 minutes in Friday's 117-90 win over the Timberwolves in the Western Conference Semifinals.

    Advice: Jokic did a little bit of everything for Denver in a much-needed Game 3 win on the road, leading all players in Friday's contest in rebounds, assists and blocks while adding a team-high-tying trio of steals and concluding as one of three Nuggets with 20 or more points. Jokic, who ended one dime shy of a triple-double, tallied his second straight double-double while posting at least 15 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in every game of the conference semifinals thus far. Jokic looked much more comfortable in Game 3 than we saw earlier in the series, which could be great news for Denver as it tries to even the series. Rotowire.com Today, 9:17 pm
  • Pascal Siakam scores 26 points in Game 3 win
    Pascal Siakam amassed 26 points (9-of-14 FGs, 7-of-9 FTs), seven rebounds, one assist, one block, and one 3-pointer in 31 minutes in Friday’s 111-106 win over the Knicks.

    Advice: Having struggled from the foul line during these playoffs, Siakam needed a night like Friday in the worst way. He made seven of his nine attempts in Game 3 while also shooting 64.3% from the field. Siakam hasn’t looked comfortable at the foul line, but that’s an area where he has the potential to be productive with the Knicks playing without OG Anunoby (hamstring). With OG unlikely to play in Game 4 on Sunday, that could be another game in which Spicy P plays to the level the Pacers expected when they acquired him from Toronto earlier this season.   • Myles Turner tallies 21 points, 10 rebounds Friday
    Myles Turner played 35 minutes in Friday’s Game 3 win over the Knicks, accounting for 21 points (7-of-13 FGs, 5-of-6 FTs), 10 rebounds, one assist, three blocks, and two 3-pointers.

    Advice: Turner had his best all-around game of the series on Friday, as he surpassed the 20-point mark and recorded a double-double. The ten rebounds he corralled in Game 3 were one more than his total in Games 1 and 2, and he was also more of a deterrent at the rim (three blocks). While most of the focus ahead of Game 3 was on Tyrese Haliburton, and rightfully so, the Pacers also need a more consistent Turner on both ends of the floor.   • Gets starting nod
    Achiuwa is in the starting lineup for Friday's Game 3 against the Pacers, Steve Popper of Newsday reports.

    Advice: Achiuwa will replace OG Anunoby (hamstring) in the starting five Friday. Achiuwa averaged 12.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals in 36.5 minutes across his previous 18 starting appearances this season. Rotowire.com Today, 3:41 pm
  • Jarrett Allen (ribs) questionable Saturday
    Jarrett Allen (right rib contusion) is listed as questionable for Saturday’s Cavaliers-Celtics game.

    Advice: Allen is looking to return from a five-game hiatus this weekend. Cleveland’s usual starting center hasn’t played since the first round and will likely continue to be replaced by Isaac Okoro in the starting lineup if ruled out for Saturday. Rotoworld Today, 2:02 pm
  • Solid output in Game 2 victory
    Washington produced 29 points (11-18 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals across 40 minutes before fouling out of Thursday's 119-110 victory over the Thunder in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

    Advice: Kyrie Irving didn't have his best performance Thursday, but Washington stepped up in a game where the Mavericks needed someone to carry the offensive load alongside Luka Doncic. This was Washington's best game of the current playoff run, as it was his first double-double since April 7. Washington is averaging 13.0 points and 6.1 rebounds per game in the playoffs, and he's scored in double digits in all but one of his eight appearances to date. Rotowire.com Today, 8:22 am
  • Chet Holmgren records 11/6/6/0/2 line Thursday
    Chet Holmgren finished Thursday’s Game 2 loss to Dallas with 11 points (4-of-12 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, six assists, two blocks, and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes.

    Advice: Having scored 19 points in Oklahoma City’s Game 1 win over Dallas, Holmgren’s production took a significant hit in Game 2. He shot 33.3% from the field, but the good news is that he was able to record six assists. Dallas, with Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II, offers more athleticism in the middle than New Orleans’ Jonas Valanciunas did in the first round. Holmgren can still be effective, as evidenced by his play in Game 1, but it won’t be easy. He’ll look to bounce back in Game 3 on Saturday in Dallas, with the teams tied at 1-all.
